Want to participate?

There are lots of different ways that you can have a say about the way we manage your home and the area in which you live. To find out more about why we involve tenants and residents and the difference you can make see our resident involvement statement here.

Tenant Board Members

Tenant Board members represent tenants’ interests at the most senior level, the Board of Directors. There are three Tenant Board members and they are elected for a period of three years. Vacancies are notified and nominations invited via the Riviera Review (tenants’ newsletter). Election is by a postal ballot.

Tenant Participation Panel (TPP)

The TPP is made up of tenants from across Torbay. It meets six times a year to consider proposed changes to services or policies that will affect services. See the latest TPP meeting minutes here. To put forward an issue or idea to the TPP email or phone 01803 696123.

Tenants and Residents Associations

Tenants and residents associations work at an estate or street level to help get things done. We can tell you if there is a tenants and residents association for your area that you can join. We can help you to start an association in your area if there isn't one already, email with your address and query.

Focus groups

We hold occasional special meetings, called focus groups, where tenants and residents can give their views on particular services. We use the feedback on the quality of services and ideas for improving them to make changes to the services that we provide.

Mystery shopping

Resident mystery shoppers test the quality of our services through telephone calls and visits to our offices. If you would like to become a resident mystery shopper email or phone 01803 696123 with your name, address and contact phone number and email address if you have one.

Telephone surveys

We undertake occasional telephone surveys to find out how satisfied tenants and residents are with a particular service.

Community development

We aim to improve quality of life on those estates where there are high levels of deprivation, e.g. where there are large numbers people out of work, where there are high levels of child poverty, where there are higher levels of anti social behaviour etc… In these areas we are working with tenants and residents to bring about changes that will make a difference.
